The chuckwagon is an important symbol of the West. Here artist N.C. Wyeth's "The Lee of the Grubwagon" (46.83) painted in 1904 - 1905, illustrates a round-up cowboy's appreciation of a good and hearty meal after a day of hard work. And our own "cookie" Ron Reed serves up samples as he tells Center visitors about chuckwagons and Dutch oven cooking.
